The Jeep Wrangler is becoming a top selling vehicle for Mopar again, it's actually putting strain on the manufacturing Toledo facility. The Jeep Wrangler sales are up 13 percent in the US line, with the Jeep refranchising in Europe, the sales could increase even more. I'm sure that Fiat is happy about the uplifting sales with the Jeep Wrangler.
Awesome shot of the 2012 Camaro in action at the 2011 Pikes Peak Hill Climb. This was the 3rd day of practice before the big shindig. If you don't know much about racing, the practice session on the bottom third of the course also serves as a qualifying time, which determines the starting order at the official race. The top qualifier can choose to go first or last in his class. See how things work?
Nothing sicker than the sound of a V10 engine firing up. That's the engine recently under the hood of the 2012 Audi R8 GT. The unique sound of the exhaust gets the blood flowing through my body! With all wheel drive the 2012 Audi R8 GT goes 0-60mph in 3.6 seconds. This year Audi has shed 180 pounds from the R8 GT, which helps gives the exotic those amazing times. Only 333 copies of this sports car will be made.
Since Veyron is coming to a close, many Bugatti fans are wondering what are in the works for the automaker. It's said that the Bugatti Galibier 16C concept could be the next car to go in production, you might remember the concept from last year at the auto show. Under the hood of the original car, there was a 12.7 liter eight, what's going to be in the Galibier for 2012, well only time will tell. I'm thinking a 800 horsepower engine might be in the works.
Someone played a prank on the general manager Peter Ronchetti at Legoland in California, they replaced his Volvo XC90 with a giant size version made out of Legos. What makes it even funnier is Peter Ronchetti goes right up to the car door to try and open it. He actually thought he was going to go inside of it, lol.
Latest news is Vaughn Gittin Jr. is dissapointed world record drift record and he's trying to raise the bar. He's taken his 1969 RTR-X Mustang. According to the German automaker, Mauro Calo drifted a C63 AMG around a skidpad for 7,572 feet, topping Gittin's original record of 6,285 feet set in December of 2008 at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Gittin is going to see if he can beat out that record this summer!
If you always wondered what a Porsche would look like after you laid 10,000 rounds of ammunition in it, well you're in luck, checkout this freakish picture. I'm not sure who decided to donate this car for charity, but I must say he's totally insane. This looks like it used to be a sharp looking Porsche. I'm a big American car enthusiast, even I must say that this is a sad sight to see.
Even Ferrari is working on more fuel efficient cars, they are to make the F1 with a twin turbo V6. It was said that they were going to go with four cylinders, but with recent news surfacing, they are switching to a V6 engine. I'm not sure if Ferrari owners are excited about this news, because I'm sure this is going to really change the sound of the Ferrari's unique exhaust note. I mean if you can afford a Ferrari, you can afford the gas for a V6 engine right?
